Yes! Vaughan College (VC) is a private high school, fully accredited, inspected and approved by the Ontario Ministry of Education to grant students credits to earn Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD). Vaughan College follows the Ontario curriculum. OSSD credit requirements at Vaughan College are similar to any other public school in Ontario. VC students receive a high school diploma and graduation certificate recognized by universities worldwide.
Is Vaughan College a Yearly school or a Semester school?
Vaughan College operates on a semester system. The academic year is divided into two semesters: the fall semester (September to January) and the winter semester (February to June). We also offer two summer school sessions in July and August.
What Are the Admissions Deadlines?
Good news! You can apply to Vaughan College at any time of the year. We operate on a rolling admissions basis, meaning we accept applications year-round and review them as they come in.

Is the tuition fee at Vaughan College affordable?
Yes, Vaughan College offers affordable tuition fees, making it possible for families to see their children flourish in a private school environment. Additional charges apply for uniforms, textbooks, laptops, stationery, field trips, and busing. Our reasonable tuition enables you to achieve your dream of private education at a significantly lower cost.
Do you provide sibling discounts?
Yes, we offer a 10% discount on tuition for the second and third siblings enrolled at Vaughan College.
What is the class size at Vaughan College Private School?
We maintain small class sizes to ensure individualized attention. The teacher-to-student ratio is typically 1:10, allowing our teachers to provide personalized support to each student.
If I am registered at another school, can I still take a credit course with Vaughan College?
Yes, why not? As a private institution, Vaughan College allows students to take courses without the approval of their regular school or school board. Once a student successfully completes a course with us, we issue a report card and send one copy directly to the student’s regular school, where the credit will be added to their transcript.
Additionally, if needed, Vaughan College can send your final grades directly to the Ontario University Application Centre (OUAC) or to the Ontario Colleges Application Center (OCAS). Rest assured, all high school credits earned through Vaughan College are officially recognized.
Can I Register for a Credit Course at Vaughan College and Earn an OSSD Without Needing a Study Permit to Come to Canada or Ontario?
Yes! Vaughan College offers live classroom to students regardless of their location, whether you’re in another province or even outside of Canada. Our live classrooms allows you to study from anywhere, giving you the opportunity to earn recognized high school credits from the Ministry of Ontario curriculum. No matter where you are, you can complete your courses with us and receive an official Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) credit. You must have a reliable internet connection and a computer.
Does VC offer Provincial Examinations or other tutoring services?
Yes, we offer the Grade 10 provincial exams (OSSLT) administered by the Ministry of Education. We also prepare students for AP, IB, IGCSE, and ASCI programs.
What other services does VC offer?
Night School, Summer School, credit courses, and Tutoring Services from Grade 7 to university students.
At Vaughan College, students have the opportunity to enroll as part-time students to earn additional credits, improve their grades, or get ahead by completing credits in advance. We offer credit courses for high school students from other schools, as well as tutoring services in all subjects for students from Grade 1 to Grade 12. Our Night School and Summer School programs provide flexible options for students to enhance their academic performance or accelerate their learning.
How doe Does VC help students with university applications?
Our guidance department supports students in selecting courses that align with their post-secondary interests, including STEM and BTM subjects. We maintain frequent communication with parents and students to help guide their university and career choices. Our goal is to assist students in all areas of their lives. Throughout the school year, students receive guidance with the university application process. University and college representatives also visit our campus to speak with graduating students directly.
How Does Vaughan College Send Marks to OUAC/OCAS or Any Other International Universities?
Vaughan College sends student marks directly to universities through the appropriate channels. For Ontario universities, we upload marks directly to the Ontario Universities Application Centre (OUAC) or the Ontario Colleges Application Service (OCAS) portal, whether you are a full-time student, or a part-time student enrolled in night or summer school at Vaughan College.
If you are not registered as a full-time student at Vaughan College and are enrolled in another school or are homeschooling, we will also send your marks to your home school. For international universities, we send official transcripts directly to the institutions as required. Our guidance department ensures that all necessary documents are submitted accurately and on time to support the university or college application process.
Which universities do VC students attend for post-secondary education?
We are proud to share that many of our students continue their education at prestigious universities such as the University of Toronto, Western University, McMaster, Queen’s University, Wilfrid Laurier, and the University of Waterloo, among others. Some students also choose to attend international universities or enroll in colleges like Seneca, Humber, and Centennial for specific technical and specialized courses.
